Discussion Topics
Class Files
 6th & 7th grade English
We are currently writing good quality five sentence paragraphs on a variety of subjects. If they need something to do they may practice creating good sentences or writing a paragrah on some subject in which they have interest.
Working on reading Comprehension
Reading logs are due every Wednesday with a parent's signature. Each quarter they will do a book report will be done on what they've read. On the Reading logs I expect 30 mins of reading four times a week for a total of two hours a week, signed by parents.
Practive cursive whenever you have nothing else to do, either reading it or writing it.
 6th & 7th grade science
We are working on the biome unit in science. Each student has chosen a biome and will be following the question worksheet and create a poster or diorama on their biome. They will then teach the other students about their biome.
 6th & 7th grade Social Studies
They are working on Ancient civilizations, right we are woking on Mesoamerica, focusing on the Mayas
 Language Skills
Reading Comprehension, as students do reading logs and have them tell someone orally about what they have read.
Big word homework. Each week a large word is sent home with the expectation that parents will use the word at least daily with the kids and then they make smaller words from those letters, and return on Friday. This is a family homework assignment for the development of comprehension and expanding vocabulary.
 Math
doing daily lessons in class. It becomes Homework when not completed in class. Practice multiplication facts, skip counting, counting by fractions of 1/2 and 1/4 and whatever we are working on when you do not have math homework
